Net_NNTP_Client::authenticate() -- Authenticate

Description

Authenticate on an already open connection

Parameter

$user - Username to authenticate with
$pass - Password to authenticate with
$authmode - Type of authentication. Default=NET_NNTP_AUTHORIGINAL

Return value

boolean - Returns TRUE on success, PEAR_Error on failure.

Note

This function can not be called statically.
