File_Passwd_Unix::setMode()

File_Passwd_Unix::setMode() -- Set encryption mode

mixed File_Passwd_Unix::setMode (string $mode)

Set encryption mode to use.

Supported encryption modes are 'des' and 'md5'.

You can use the constants FILE_PASSWD_MD5 and FILE_PASSWD_DES for this purpose.

Returns TRUE on success, PEAR_Error on failure.

Returns PEAR_Error FILE_PASSWD_E_INVALID_ENC_MODE, if supplied encryption mode is not supported.

This function can not be called statically.
