File_Passwd_Authdigest::verifyPasswd()

File_Passwd_Authdigest::verifyPasswd() -- Verifiy password

Synopsis

mixed File_Passwd_Authdigest::verifyPasswd (string $user, string $realm, string $pass)

Description

Verify the password of an user in a certain realm.

Parameter

string $user: the user whose password should be verified
string $realm: the realm the user is in
string $pass: the plaintext password to verify

Return value

Retruns TRUE if passwords equal, FALSE if they don't, or PEAR_Error on failure.

FILE_PASSWD_E_USER_NOT_IN_REALM	the specified user doesn't exist in the supplied realm

Note

This function can not be called statically.
